English: Yesterday was our anniversary, so we planned to go out to see if we could pick up some stuff for signs for the farm, then go out to dinner. Gillie had other plans.

By the time we were ready to go (later than we had planned), Gillie had not come back from his morning walk. So we waited around, called for him, walked around his favorite haunts (the ones we know about, anyway). No Gillie.

So finally about 3 pm we made a concerted effort, yelling, whistling, banging his food dish, honking the horn, all things that sometimes bring him home. After about a half hour of this, I walked past a stone wall, and there was Gillie, just sitting there calmly, not doing anything but watching me. So I grabbed him and he got put in the house, where he found his chair and went to sleep. (This picture was the next day, but it's the same chair). We did have to comb the burrs out of his fur.

So we didn't go to pick up the farm stuff, which is probably just as well since the place we were going is apparently on summer hours and closed at noon on Fridays. But we did go out to dinner and visited a Pick-Your-Own flower garden about an hour away. Stole a few new ideas.

Gillie isn't really a bad cat, just a cat. He likes being out until he gets hungry or too hot, or whatever. Then he wants to come in on his terms.
